Carol Irving | Clarinet

We are delighted to have local artist, Carol Irving, perform with Tallowdale Music in the upcoming Film Premiere & Gala Concert.

Carol Irving studied clarinet and saxophone under the late Kevin Murphy at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music, where she completed a Bachelor of Music Education. She has taught Music in Sydney, Forster and Port Macquarie schools, and is in demand as a woodwind, theory and HSC Music teacher and accompanist. Carol is an experienced Eisteddfod adjudicator and HSC examiner and is currently leading music programs in Port Macquarie primary schools, lecturing at Charles Sturt University and teaching in her busy studio. As a performer, Carol has been involved in many musical groups, concerts and events in the region, including the Port Macquarie Hastings Municipal Band, Sinfonia, productions with Taree Arts Council and the Players Theatre, City of the Arts Ensemble, Hastings Chamber Ensemble, the Port Macquarie Music Eisteddfod, Big Band Blast, Black Satin Swing Band and Jordan Jive. Recently Carol has performed in big bands with James Morrison, Adrian Cunningham and with John Morrison’s Heavy Metal Jazz Orchestra. In 2016-17, Carol recorded and performed as part of the Tallowdale Chamber Orchestra for the album From Hidden Valleys.
